Tax Appeal Seminar at City Hall

Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak will be holding a property tax appeal seminar on Thursday, September 10, 2015 which starts at 6:30 p.m. at Park Ridge City Hall for taxpayers seeking to appeal their property tax assessments.


The seminar is co-hosted by Acting Mayor Marty Maloney, Cook County Commissioner Peter Silvestri, State Senator John Mulroe and State Representative Michael McAuliffe.   The session will educate taxpayers on how to appeal your property tax assessment.  Attendees may complete and submit appeal forms at the end of the event.  Analysts from the Board of Review will be available to answer any questions.  The event is free to the public.   Taxpayers are asked to bring a copy of their most recent tax bill.


Appeal forms may also be picked up at the Board of Review office located at 118 N. Clark Street-Room 601 in Chicago or at the Skokie Satellite Office located at 5600 Old Orchard Rd., Room 155, Skokie, IL. 847-470-7522. Taxpayers may also file an appeal online by visiting the Board of Review website at


The Cook County Board of Review is a quasi-judicial elected office responsible for adjudicating assessment appeals for all property in Cook County. Commissioner Dan Patlak represents the 1st District of the Board of Review, which encompasses 90% of Suburban Cook County and part of the 19th and 41st & 45th Wards of Chicago.
