The mission of Community Preservation and Development (CP&D) is to “provide general direction, coordination, supervision and control so as to preserve the existing character of Park Ridge as a high quality residential community.” CP&D administrates and coordinates all long-range community planning, zoning and land use, building and construction activities, as well as environmental health and nuisance control programs. Additionally, CP&D provides oversight of the City’s economic development efforts as well as the Park Ridge Farmers’ Market.
The department is organized into four divisions: Administrative, Building, Environmental Health, and Planning and Zoning.
