The City is working with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) on finalizing the design for bicycle lanes on Busse Hwy., from Touhy to Potter Road.  This will involve the reduction of one vehicle travel lane in each direction, and the installation of an on-street bicycle lane. 

While on-street parking will remain on most of the corridor, the section of Busse Hwy. between Dee Road and Potter Road is proposed to have on-street parking eliminated (18 spaces total). See map below for the location of the proposed parking loss. 

Residents and businesses in the area have been notified by mail.  The topic will be discussed at the Public Works Committee Meeting at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 12 in the City Hall Council Chambers.
